Airbnb inventory, under control

Inventory management for your rental happens during the cleaning: every product put out is counted down.

Tracking is switched on property by property, and you see what is left without going there.

Built from your checklist

Switch tracking on: every restock task becomes an item, with its starting quantity.

The alert threshold starts at a quarter of that quantity, and a task added later creates its item on its own.

Sized to every stay

In smart mode, the quantity to put out is worked out for each stay, from the guests and the nights.

Coefficients come pre-filled for common products. Guests come from the booking, otherwise from the property’s capacity.

Warned before you run out

Below its threshold, the item turns red and the property is flagged in the app.

At the end of the cleaning, one email lists everything to buy, sent to you and your co-managers.

Counted down to the roll

When ticking off the task, your cleaner enters how many rolls went out, or the level left in the bottle.

The reserve drops by what was really put out. Empty cupboard: “Out of stock” sets it to zero and lets you know.

One threshold, full history

Each product has its own alert threshold and log: quantity, cleaning date, cleaner.

After shopping, raise the quantity: the line turns black again.

Managing supplies in a short-term rental

A missing roll costs a lot

Supplies weigh little in the budget and a lot in reviews. No toilet paper at 11pm, no coffee capsule on checkout morning: there goes a star.

On the other hand, overstocking ties up money and space. Good inventory management aims for just enough to last until the next restock.

Three numbers not to mix up

The reserve is what is left in the property. The quantity put out is what your cleaner leaves at each cleaning. The threshold is when to buy more.

CleanClac keeps them apart: the reserve only drops by what was actually put out, not by what the checklist asks for.

A threshold that leaves time to buy

Two rolls per cleaning, three cleanings a week, shopping on Mondays: you need at least six rolls left when the alert comes in.

For a refill tracked by level, such as hand soap, an alert at 25% usually leaves enough time to restock.

One stock per property

Each property has its own thresholds and history. The property list shows which ones need restocking, and the email names the property so you can group your shopping.

Linen is handled separately, with the linen tasks. And CleanClac never orders for you: you keep your suppliers.

Fewer messages, fewer gaps

Your cleaner no longer has to text you that the soap is running out: they report it when ticking off the task, and the alert goes out on its own. You restock before running out, not after.

Common questions about inventory management

How do I manage Airbnb inventory with CleanClac?

Switch on “Track stock” for the property: items are created from your checklist. Every cleaning then counts down what was put out.

Do I have to count the stock after every cleaning?

No. Your cleaner reports what they put out when ticking off the task; you only update the quantity after shopping.

How does the quantity follow the number of guests?

In smart mode: a base, plus a coefficient per guest and per night, rounded up. It is worked out for each stay.

Who gets the low stock alert?

You and your co-managers: the item turns red in the app, and an email lists the products to buy at the end of the cleaning.

Can I track refillable soap or body wash?

Yes, as a percentage: your cleaner slides a gauge to the level left, and the alert threshold is set as a percentage too.

What if the cupboard is empty?

Your cleaner chooses “Out of stock”: the reserve drops to zero and a report arrives in the property’s conversation.

Is inventory management included in the free plan?

Yes. Stock, thresholds and alerts are included in every plan, the free property included.
